I like to train alone, or with the Decatur Running Club

Personal goals

Qualify for Boston (check!); Now to help others complete their goals

A quotation you like…

You don’t get what you wish for, you get what you work for.

Why do you run?

I run because it allows me to be my own person. Complete goals that only I am able to accomplish based on training and it’s an environment of a good group of friends full of positive energy.

Describe your best marathon memory.

2014 Chicago Marathon as I crossed the finish line at 3:30:32 – I turned a dream into a goal and a goal into real life. This moment proves that anything is possible when you work hard.

Why do you pace?

I chose to become a Pacer because through my running career, I have had numerous people help me complete my dreams. Now it’s my turn to help others complete theirs.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I work in the creative field so naturally I have a large imagination resulting in some good stories and mind boggling thoughts to keep you thinking through the next couple miles.  J

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Get ready for a good time!

Anything else you’d like to share?

The marathon is a different kind of animal, you must take it mile by mile and minute by minute. Train smart, eat healthy, and get plenty of sleep leading up to race day.
