A quotation you like…

A little bit of light can chase away a whole lot of darkness

Why do you run?

I love running though new places, meeting new people, and getting that runners’ high!

Describe your best marathon memory.

My first marathon – my mom and I ran NYC together.  The energy was just insane; we were smiling and dancing the whole way through.

Why do you pace?

Running has been such an important part of my life, and I love helping running become accessible to more people.  I want to help you achieve your goals!

Tell us your best pacing experience.

One spring, I had been a pacer for a half marathon training group, leading the weekly long runs for the 10:30 pace group – it was one of those awful seasons, where it felt like every day it rained.  I’d constantly remind the people in my pace group, that it was important to run any weather you’d race in.

Towards the end of the training season, I was pacing a (very rainy) half marathon, and I hear my name from the returning side of an out-and-back.  I see a big smile and wave from someone who was in my training group. She looked so strong and happy - I love that I got to see all of her hard work pay off, and I knew she was going to crush her goal!

Why should someone run in your pace group?

They’re looking to hit a new goal or meet some new people!

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Remember to have fun and just focus on the mile in front of you!

Anything else you’d like to share?

Can’t wait to run with y’all!

What philanthropic activities do you have?

Yes! I’m on the board of a charity works to destigmatize homelessness, Knock Knock Give A Sock, and I do a lot of work with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.  I was a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters for many years and my little brother just graduated college! I also run as a guide for Achilles International, and last spring I donated my kidney through non-directed donation.
