A quotation you like…

"Now if your are going to win any battle you have to do one thing.  You have to make the mind run the body.  Never let the body tell the mind what to do.  The body will always give up.   It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night.  But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired."

- George S. Patton, U.S. Army General, 1912 Olympian

Why do you run?

To stay fit.  Also marathon training helps with other areas of my life with regards to goal setting and the discipline to stick with the activities necessary to reach that goal.

Describe your best marathon memory.

In Miami it was a pace group that helped me reach my 3:30 goal.  I was well ahead of my pace but started to fade about mile 22 and the 3:30 pace group caught up to me.  It was the encouragement of the pacer that gave me the extra push to finish under 3:30.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?   Just have fun
