Why do you run?

I run because it is part of my daily routine. I don’t feel complete without it. I don’t need it to survive but it makes life fuller.

Describe your best marathon memory.

During the 2010 Marshall Marathon, I realized that I was at 20 miles faster than I ever had been before and I was only getting faster. It was the first time I raced the marathon.

Why do you pace?

I pace to learn from others as well as share whatever wisdom I’ve gained since I started running. It’s a way of giving back to fellow runners. Plus, I want people achieve their goals.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

Because I will get them there on time and we’ll have fun in the process.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Hold back during the part of the race,  you’ll thank yourself in the backend.

Anything else you’d like to share?

Developing a fueling plan and stick to it even if you don’t feel like you need to.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I volunteer at local races, I donate money to worthy political causes, and I believe in building better communities makes life more enjoyable.
