A quotation you like…

Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact. William James US Pragmatist philosopher & psychologist (1842 - 1910)

Why do you run?

I run because I like to be outdoors. It helps me unwind and de-stress.

Describe your best marathon memory.

Crossing the finish line at Space Coast thinking that I did not make the qualifying time for Boston – then realizing that I did!

Why do you pace?

To help others achieve their goals.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I paced a colleague from work on her first half-marathon in Melbourne Beach. She had a goal of 2:30 and succeeded. It was very rewarding.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I am an evenly paced runner, encourager and supporter of other’s goals. I will push to keep them at their pace without going too fast, but understanding each one is on their own personal journey.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Stay relaxed, focused and maintain a steady pace.

Anything else you’d like to share?

It would be a privilege to be able to pace others and help them succeed.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I attend mission trips with Celebrate Jesus and my local church. I meet with two ladies who are beginner runners to help them with their fitness goals. I help with the ministry for feeding the homeless for the holidays. I am a sponsored racer for Hydration for Humanity a charitable organization who builds wells in Africa.
