A quotation you likeā€¦

Personal goals

I have a series of goal times I'd like to reach personally, and  at the same  time I want to help/encourage/pace/coach others to reach their goals.

Why do you run?

Many reasons: Stress Relief, Personal Satisfaction in setting and attaining goals, so that I can eat  pretty much whatever I want, for the social aspect.

Describe your best marathon memory.

Finishing the last 6 miles of Mohawk Hudson in what was at the time a 10k PR -  I set a marathon PR that day and knew I had given it 100%. It hurt physically, but it was very satisfying mentally.

Why do you pace?

To give back to a sport that has given much to me.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

They've all been special. A particularly memorable one was coaching the single remaining member of my pace group to her goal, when the rest of group dropped off one by one at mile 18.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

Someone should run in my pace group  because I will pace evenly and consistently while offering advice that  I've learned from going beyond marathons. I think Ihave a lot of teaching moments in my running experience.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Stay with the group. Do not pass go (me). If  you are feeling great at mile 20 you have my permission to go for it ... mile 6 is too early!
