A quotation you like…

Success is not Final…Failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts! – Winston Churchill

Why do you run?

I run to have alone time, to find my focus, to hear my inner thoughts, and to find my personal strength.

Describe your best marathon memory.

New York and Boston are my favorite marathons. And, I recall finishing the New York Marathon, running towards the end in Central Park, and a fall breeze blew the beautiful spectrum of colored leaves down on all the runners and me. It was a gorgeous cascade of confetti, ideal for a strong finish.

Why do you pace?

There is nothing that compares to being a part of someone else’s dream and goal. It’s a true privilege to participate in and to lead another runner’s experience! I love getting to know my runners and ultimately becoming a friend too.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

There are too many wonderful pacing experiences from which to choose, but helping runners to qualify for Boston is certainly at the top of my list, and that has happened on several occasions. It is a tearful finish every time!

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I provide a very supportive and fun pace experience. From the moment we queue up to the very last mile, I coach, inspire, take pictures, and even sing! I’ll pretty much do whatever it takes to get my runners to the finish line with a fantastic memory and a successful run too!

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Be prepared to grow as a runner and most of all to enjoy the experience, especially is this if your first race. Completing a half marathon/marathon is life changing.

Anything else you’d like to share?

I run to set an example for my children. It’s not easy to fit in the training runs with three children, but running parallels life…You set goals, work hard, and keep going even when life is challenging. I hope my children learn from my example.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

My husband and I enjoy giving back to the community and our children’s schools in anonymous ways.
