A quotation you like…

You Get What You Give

Why do you run?

It just makes me feel great and I am pretty good at it!

Describe your best marathon memory.

Improved my marathon PR by over 26 minutes this year.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I could not have set the PR that I did this year without the 3:15 pacer, Dean Thompson. I was struggling to keep the pace I had been running the last four miles. I was ahead of him by a minute or so for 22 miles. Dean caught me and my first thought was that I may not be able to keep it up. He was so encouraging and would not let us get off track. I was so happy afterwards and gave him a big hug.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

Referring to the pacing experience above, I would like to be able to return the favor to others.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Maintain a steady pace throughout, fuel your body along the way and there will be time when you feel great and times when you don’t. Just push through, keep going and you can do it!

Anything else you’d like to share?

Thanks for the opportunity. I hope to meet some great people through this experience.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I led an effort that raised over $500,000 in 2013 for the YMCA. My giving also includes my church and school(s) Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Notre Dame, Boy Scouts, Saint Jude Children’s Hospital and the United Way.
