At Mt. Mitchell Challenge when someone caught me after I was in first for a long time and told me I should pace better. So I caught him and put 4 minutes on him in the last 2 miles. The race was 40 miles. |

Why do you pace? |
I love supporting the running community and helping people find a deeper place within themselves they have not been to before. A Pain Cave as it were. |
||
Tell us your best pacing experience. |
Pacing one of my best friends at Western States 100. He hit a rough patch and threw up a lot around 40 miles. We got through together and cried together as he finished. Close third to marrying my wife, our son being born. I cried a lot. |

Why should someone run in your pace group? |
I think a blonde kid that grew up in East Africa at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro is pretty interesting. |
