A quotation you like… |
Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve to death. It doesn’t matter whether you are a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you better start running! (African proverb)

Why do you run?
Because I like to eat and need to burn off the calories! |
Describe your best marathon memory.
Slapping hands with the cheering crowds of Wellesley College and Boston University during the Boston Marathon. |
Why do you pace?
To share the fun of running and help people accomplish their personal goals. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
I don’t have a very large repertoire of jokes, but we can exchange stories all morning and the marathon will fly by. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
Glide (anti-chaffing product) is worth its weight in gold. Never forget it! |
What philanthropic activities do you have? |
I support Homes for Our Troops (great organization!), the Cato Institute, the Heritage Foundation, and lead the 8th grade boys “D Group” (lively bunch!) at my local church.
