An uninjured runner is faster than an injured runner”

Why do you run?

I run for the times I’m feeling really good out there. You gotta put in some rough miles to get some great ones. The times where I’m feeling amazing are indescribable.

I run because of how accomplished I feel afterwards. Whether it’s running at 5:45am before work or finishing a full marathon, the runner’s high is real and it hits so different.

I run because of how social it can be. One of my favorite things in life is to meet up with friends or teammates to do a long run or a speed workout on the track.

Describe your best marathon memory.

Finishing the Glass City Marathon to qualify for Boston on the Toledo Rockets football stadium with lots of family and high school teammates watching and cheering.

Why do you pace?

I am entering the pacing community because I want to help people achieve their running goals. I know how much of a jubilation it is to qualify for Boston or hit a certain marathon time. I would love to lead people to experience moments of triumph that they will remember for the rest of their lives. I also love getting to know all the runners in my group! Everyone has different backgrounds and stories that I am extremely interested in hearing about!

Tell us your best pacing experience.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I am treating these pacing experiences as if they are my job. I have a responsibility to get runners to the finish line under the mark while pacing tactically. I am inspired to help the runners in my group accomplish their goals. I am also a very social person and love getting to know runners from all backgrounds!

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Be prepared to have fun while also working hard! I believe that encouragement from a group can amplify a runner’s performance. I would love to get to know all of you before, during, and after the race!
