Why do you run?

 

I run because its my moving meditation – it soothes my anxiety, calms my nerves and keeps me grounded.  

Describe your best marathon memory.

 

Breaking my first two hour half marathon.

Why do you pace?

 

Because helping others reach their goals is so satisfying.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

 

The first year I paced the St Lukes Half, a father who was like 65+ was running with his daughter 35+ and they stayed with me the whole race. Watching them cross the finish together brought tears to my eyes.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

 

People who want to have fun. I tell people we are the Party Pace. The back of the pack runners getting the most out of our entry fee.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

 

Bring snacks! You cant have a party without snacks.

Anything else you’d like to share?

I didn’t start running until I was 45, it is never too late to start something new!
