A quotation you like…

We don’t run to add days to our lives, but to add life to our days.

Why do you run?

For health and fun

Describe your best marathon memory.

It has to be Berlin 2022. I was mid-race listening to my pacers sharing stories to keep me focused, when a roar went through the crowd. We realized that while we were pushing through our own miles, Kipchoge had just set a new world record on the very same pavement just ahead of us. A thrilling magical memory.

Why do you pace?

To be supportive to fellow runners, cheering them on as they work to achieve their personal milestones

Tell us your best pacing experience.

Pacing a 2:15 half marathon along at cold windy and rainy Lake Michigan, I was leading two young girls through their first half marathon, held them back when they were excited and pushed them to fly during the final two miles. They crushed their goal. Sharing a soaking-wet, joyful photo with them and their grateful mother at the finish line perfectly captured why I like to pace: helping others discover their own potential.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I’ll provide steady splits and constant encouragement, keeping us on track so we can reach the finish line together.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Keep the rhythm
