A quotation you like… |
All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. -Walt Disney |
Why do you run? |
The best part of running is all the wonderful people I have met. My running friends are family to me. |
Describe your best marathon memory. |
Oddly, my best marathon experience was one where I took a nasty spill at Mile 8. I cut my knee open, and it was bleeding pretty bad. They advised me at the Medical tent to DNF. I told them to bandage up my knee because I was going to finish. It wasn’t pretty, and I cried the last 5 miles, but I finished. That race taught me how tough I am. There is a positive to be found in every Marathon you run. |
Why do you pace? |
Pacing is such a rewarding experience. When you get the tearful hugs of gratitude at the finish line, it makes it all worthwhile. |
Tell us your best pacing experience. |
My first pacing experience, which was at Disney, will always be memorable to me, as it introduced me to a whole new way that this sport can fulfill me. |
Why should someone run in your pace group? |
I try to keep things fun and upbeat. I never take a race too seriously because above all, we are there to have a good time and enjoy the experience. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group? |
Enjoy yourself! Take it all in! And no matter how much pain you may be feeling, always remember to smile for the camera! |
Anything else you’d like to share? |
If you want to get on my good side, say nice things about Disney! |
What philanthropic activities do you have? |
I gravitate towards charities that promote Arts in our Schools and anything to do with animals. |
