Why should someone run in your pace group?
|
I am reliable. I will do all of the thinking and adjustments, and allow you to just focus in on putting one foot in front of the other. I will talk to you as much as you want, but will say nothing if that is better. My goal is to help you and willing to adjust what I do in order to optimize your experience. I take pacing as an important responsibility, not just something to do. And try to relax everyone and have fun. You will run better if you are relaxed and enjoying it. |

Any tips for runners about to join your group?
|
Engage. Try not to be passive. Talk to me. Relax. Ask me questions. Tell some jokes. And approach this as a team. We need to support each other, especially when the real race starts and the going gets tougher at the end. |

Anything else you’d like to share? |
Ask pacers questions. We have a lot of experience ourselves, and some of us use coaches. We may be able to answer some questions you may have. I am coached by an elite runner and have learned a lot through this relationship. Maybe I can share things with you.
