Why do you run?
I run because I love/hate the fear/euphoria of standing at a starting line waiting to honor my training with maximum effort. |
Describe your best marathon memory.
In 2013, I qualified for the Boston Marathon at the Glass City Marathon in Toledo, Ohio. I’ll never forget seeing my wife waiting at the end of the chute at the finish line, and her telling me I qualified. |
Why do you pace?
I think marathons are more satisfactory when you have someone who can embrace the “suck” with you. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
At the Hogeye Marathon, I paced one of my best friends to his first marathon finish. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
You should run in my group because we can all feed off each other. That’s the beauty of running. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
If you are in my group, bring a positive outlook. Marathons are supposed to hurt. We will get through it with a positive result. |
