A quotation you like…

Use it or lose it.

Why do you run?

To set an example for my son.

Describe your best marathon memory.

Just 300 meters from the marathon finish, I collapsed from a minor heat stroke. When I woke up on the ambulance it was strangely the most calm and peaceful feeling I had.

Why do you pace?

Helping others achieve their goals makes me happy.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I was pacing a really fast visually impaired runner at an ultra, and at one point, I couldn’t see the road clearly. For a second, I started wondering, wait…do I have worse vision than the visually impaired guy?

Then I realized I still had my sunglasses on. And it was already dark.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

You will have an old guy to follow.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Just follow the old guy.

Anything else you’d like to share?

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I run with the visual impaired runners regularly.
