A quotation you like…

“Real toughness is experiencing discomfort or distress, leaning in, paying attention, and creating space to take thoughtful action. It’s maintaining a clear head to be able to make the appropriate decision. Toughness is navigating discomfort to make the best decision you can.” -Steve Magness

Why do you run?

I run so that I can have quality “me” time to think and unwind, and to build relationships with friends

Describe your best marathon memory.

My first: I was on a high the entire time. I crossed the finish line with a BQ, almost falling over, but ready to do it again.

Why do you pace?

Running is tough! But if I can use my skill and ability to help others meet goals, it would be a crime not to.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I paced the Four Bridges half in Chattanooga and picked up a runner in the middle that pushed through to the end through wind and cold for a huge PR! There’s nothing wrong with grabbing onto a slower pace group than you originally planned.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

The marathon is a mental test as much as a physical test, and doing so with others helps break down some of those mental barriers. Let’s do hard things together.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Start conservative, have a fueling plan, force a smile, and have fun.
