Stress reliever and to try to stay in shape |
Describe your best marathon memory.
Space Coast Marathon, maybe 2009, hitting the wall at mile 18, Jeff Galloway running towards me and stops in front of me and points his finger at me and looks me right in the eyes and says, “You can do this.” |
Why do you pace?
I really enjoy coaching people and at the slower speeds it’s usually a lot of first-timers. I love the see the accomplishment of what they’ve achieved. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
Jacksonville Breast Cancer February 2011. Pacing the ½ marathon with my daughter. I had a lot of students running with Marathon High – and just to see their accomplishment was great. |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
Because we have fun!!! |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
Just relax. You’re not going to break a record , you’re not going to be the fastest, but this is what you’ve trained for. The time is here. You can do this --- and you will do this!!! It’s a life-changing event. |
