Why do you run? |
I enjoy running especially with my friends, keeps me happy, healthy, and in shape |
Describe your best marathon memory. |
Boston 2019, not knowing when heart break hill was and once I got to the top was like “that’s it, that wasn’t that bad” and then knowing with 2 miles to go I was going to get sub 3. So many cheers along the way and positive vibes made it one of the best experiences. |
Why do you pace? |
I know when I had pacers in the past for my races they were helpful and encouraging and I would like to do the same and pay it forward and help other achieve their goals |
Tell us your best pacing experience. |
It’s always encouraging hearing others tell you that they PR’d a race or they did expect they could go that fast and felt good at the end. The thank you and the smiles tell it all. |
Why should someone run in your pace group? |
I am good at being positive, encouraging, and can help up lift when the “negative” thoughts kick in during a race with supportive mantras. I have always nailed the goal paces for the past races I have done. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group? |
Be prepared to smile, laugh, hopefully have a good time. It’s going to feel easy at first and it’s better to stay on pace and not go out too fast and burn out. After mile 10 during the half you feel great, I will encourage you to go chase others down to the finish line! |
