St. George for a PR after coming back from being out for almost a year and not knowing if I’d ever be able to run again.

Hobbies

Running (road and trail) and then running some more and some more! Time with family.

Adventure trail runs. Road biking. Cooking.

Favorite Running Food

Peanut butter chocolate energy bites (on the trail)   Huma gels for road running

Personal goals

Running goals: Someday: a 3:18 marathon. A sub 13 hour 50 mile ultra and someday to run a 100 mile ultra

A quotation you like…

“Run when you can, walk when you have to, crawl if you must, but NEVER give up!”and “I’ve come so far, I think I can run on just a little bit longer”

Why do you run?

Because I love it...for so many reasons: the people I have met, the friends I have made, the sanity it helps me keep, the beauty I have been able to see, and the lessons God has taught me, especially when I don’t think I can make it any longer.

Describe your best marathon memory.

So many special ones it is hard to choose. This one is from an Ultra I just ran in June 2021: It was the hardest thing I have ever done and I wanted my family to be at the finish line so badly, but didn’t think there was any way they would be because how long it would take me wasn’t known. When I rounded the last corner and saw them waiting for me, the tears wouldn’t stop, the hugs were so tight and the feeling was indescribable.

Why do you pace?

I love when others can have the joy of reaching their goals! I enjoy encouraging people along the way and paying back for the times others have helped me.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

There was a young lady who had ran the same race several times before on her own and had never been able to reach her goal. When she came in under the time she wanted and made it for the first time and wanted to get pictures with me, I was just so so happy for her.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

To keep me company! :) Seriously though, we will have fun, we will share great stories and finish better than we started!

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

Believe in yourself and in those around you! YOU can do more than you think you can!

Anything else you’d like to share?

We all need each other to get through this crazy race of life.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

Nothing official...just helping where I can, when I can.
