Personal goals

A quotation you like…

Why do you run?

It’s my daily escape, alone time and I am able to think, relax, talk through issues and stresses, and my cup of coffee. I am an early morning runner (3 am to 4:30 am start for morning run) and I love to be the first person hitting the pavement with the opportunity to be the first to breathe the clean, undisturbed morning air prior, and get to run on the actual street instead of the sidewalk.

Describe your best marathon memory.

I BQ’d on accident at the Snickers Marathon because I really enjoyed talking and running with another runner so much we both didn’t bother to pay attention to our usual pace and lost track of time. At the end of the race, I was able to ring the BQ and PR bell at the finish line.

Why do you pace?

I want to assist in helping others in reaching their goals and dreams while creating unique relationships in the sport I am passionate about.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

I am a beginning pacer but I tend to be consistent with my times whether it’s training or on race day for pace.

Why should someone run in your pace group?

I enjoy getting to know the people who I run with, swap experiences whether they're telling me the next marathon I should run or why they enjoy running, and it makes time fly by.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

As long as you stick with me then be prepared to talk, smile, and be motivated to achieve your goals

Anything else you’d like to share?

I am chasing the 50 State Marathon Challenge, which means that I am planning to run at least one marathon in every US state. While chasing this challenge and goal, there’s a high probably that I will try to pursue the Abbott Challenge of running in all six major races.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

I plan on being more involved philantropically but I have participated with Hospice and Girls on the Run (GOTR).
