A quotation you like…

Life is short . . . run long

Why do you run?

Because I can! And I enjoy being outdoors, smelling fresh air & experiencing what the day has to offer.

Describe your best marathon memory.

Running in the Marine Corps Marathon watching our active duty military see their families and kids along the course. Some of them hadn't seen each other in over a year!

Why do you pace?

I enjoy helping others achieve their goals. Everything is better when everyone has the same objective and goal.

Tell us your best pacing experience.

Last year at the Air Force Marathon having a girl that started with me, then fell behind only to catch up in the finish chute & hit her goal!

Why should someone run in your pace group?

Because I can make the miles fly by and we’ll have a great time! Reminding everyone to hydrate, fuel up and stay focused is key. I can usually talk someone through a rough spot during a race so they stay with the group.

Any tips for runners about to join your group?

I want you to rely on your training . . . and if you didn't do much training, you may have to rely on me! Either way, we will hit our goal pace at the finish line!

Anything else you’d like to share?

I’ve been a marathon coach for 5 years. I can usually talk people through when they are wanting to quit, walk or slow down. Everyone will experience a time during a race that is difficult, but we can get through it when we focus and relax.

What philanthropic activities do you have?

My husband & I have raised close to $10,000 for Team In Training. My father died of Leukemia in 2003.
