Describe your best marathon memory. |
My best marathon memory is my first marathon – the 1981 Detroit International. We were bussed to Windsor, Canada and ran back to Detroit, Michigan through the river tunnel and then finished on Belle Island. This was a time before medals were awarded, before 9/11 and when cotton shorts and t-shirts were all we had to run in. |
||
Why do you pace? |
I’ve had a blast helping folks reach their goals. Pacing is another way to assist others in the adventures of running. |
||
Tell us your best pacing experience. |

||
Why should someone run in your pace group? |
We will have plenty of laughs and have a lot of time to share stories. |

Any tips for runners about to join your group? |
Prepare to enjoy the experience and join me at the finish line! |
||
Anything else you’d like to share? |
I ran my first marathon in 1981 and swore that I would never ever run another marathon. BTW, never ever is 18 years. I ran my second marathon in 1999. |
