A quotation you like… |
Running reminds you that even in your weakest moments, you are strong. |
Why do you run?
To stay healthy and to be thankful that I can! |
Describe your best marathon memory.
Chicago used to be my local marathon. Seeing the support for the runners from the crowds and seeing my friends and family for my first marathon was something I’ll never forget. |
Why do you pace?
I love helping others get their PR, reach a goal, or finish at a specific time. Everyone has a run journey and I enjoy hearing how someone got to this race. |
Tell us your best pacing experience.
Anytime I see others in my pace group supporting each other, it becomes my best pacing experience. I recently had fellow runners hold hands to help each other when one was struggling in the group. The selflessness of runners helping runners is amazing! |
Why should someone run in your pace group?
I pace so that I can help others reach their goal. I will always tell you my pace strategy before the race so you are comfortable. I will do whatever I can to help you achieve your goal. Plus, I try to make it fun. |
Any tips for runners about to join your group?
Enjoy the race and don’t be too hard on yourself. Pick a pace that meets your goal. It’s OK to tell me about yourself and your goals, I love to get to know the runners in the group. It’s also OK to run with the group and just listen, or move ahead if you’re feeling good. This is your race and I am here to support that by keeping a consistent pace. |
Anything else you’d like to share? |
Don’t try anything too new that deviates from your training. I learned this the hard way, from trying new shoes to fuel. |
